Red River Groundwater Conservation District
Existing well registrations and new well applications are now being accepted by the District.

New wells must be registered before construction begins. Please contact the District with any questions.
The Red River Groundwater Conservation District (the “District”) was created by the 81st Texas Legislature under the authority of Section 59, Article XVI, of the Texas Constitution, and in accordance with Chapter 36 of the Texas Water Code ("Water Code"), by the Act of May 25, 2009, 81st Leg., R.S., ch. 248, 2009 Tex. Gen. Laws 686, codified at Tex. Spec. Dist. Loc. Laws Code Ann. ch. 8856 (“the District Act”).
The District is a governmental agency and a body politic and corporate. The District was created to serve a public use and benefit, and is essential to accomplish the objectives set forth in Section 59, Article XVI, of the Texas Constitution.
