Well Registration

The Red River Groundwater Conservation District (the “District”) was created by the 81st Texas Legislature under the authority of Section 59, Article XVI, of the Texas Constitution, and in accordance with Chapter 36 of the Texas Water Code ("Water Code"), by the Act of May 25, 2009, 81st Leg., R.S., ch. 884, 2009 Tex. Gen. Laws 2316, codified at Tex. Spec. Dist. Loc. Laws Code Ann. ch. 8859 (“the District Act”).

We have a new online database!  In the database, you can submit meter readings, view production summaries, register new wells, view information about your well(s), etc. In order to access this new database you will need to go to the website, dripdrop.redrivergcd.org, and click “register a new account".

Billing

Well meter readings must be taken on a monthly basis, within 10 days before or after the last day of the month. These can be submitted monthly, or collected and submitted at one time at the end of the quarterly billing cycle.

The District operates on a quarterly billing cycle. Meter readings must be submitted within 30 days of the end of the quarter. Invoices will be generated within 15 days from the Water Production Report Deadlines...

  • ​​​All new wells must registered before construction begins.
  • All new non-exempt wells require a Production Permit.
  • All wells that have transferred ownership must register with the District.
  • All non-exempt wells are required to be registered with the District.
