Board of Directors

The District’s Board of Directors (“Board”) is composed of seven members, each appointed by various entities within Grayson and Fannin Counties to ensure balanced representation and governance.


Grayson County Appointments:

  • Two directors are appointed by the governing body of the municipality with the highest annual groundwater production in Grayson County.
  • One director is appointed jointly by the governing boards of all water service districts and water supply corporations that provide retail water service to customers in Grayson County using groundwater.
  • One director is appointed jointly by the governing bodies of all municipalities in Grayson County, excluding the municipality with the highest annual groundwater production.

Fannin County Appointments:

Three directors are appointed by the Fannin County Commissioners Court:

  • One director is appointed at the discretion of the Commissioners Court.
  • One director is selected from a list of nominees submitted by the governing bodies of the municipalities in Fannin County.
  • One director is chosen from a list of nominees submitted by water service districts and water supply corporations that provide retail water service to customers in Fannin County using groundwater.
